Warren Cameron Cyrus of Hinton passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the age of 89 at Hospice following a long illness.

Warren was born in Hinton, WV on April 2, 1935 to the late Hiram Houston and Ruby Scott Cyrus.

Warren was a U.S. Marine during the Korean War.  His favorite job though was being a truck driver for ABF Trucking Company, and he loved to tell stories of his trips across the East Coast and Canada.  He also enjoyed being a Volunteer Fireman in his free time.  After his retirement, Warren enjoyed bowling and camping.

Besides his parents, Warren is preceded in death by brothers Edward L. Cyrus, William K. Cyrus, Emmett B. Cyrus Sr., twin infant brothers, and infant grandson, Michael Chistian Aldini.

Those left to cherish his memory include twin daughters, Lori Cyrus Shafaye and husband AB of Pennsylvania and Doris Cyrus Aldini and husband Mario of Texas; son, Michael Warren Cyrus, Ret. Navy of Florida; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Jennings R. Cyrus of Brooks, WV; numerous nieces, nephews and his wonderful caregivers which included his nieces Sandra Angell, Helen Eastman, and Sheri Eerenberg.

A private graveside service will be held with family at Fox Cemetery at Brooks, WV with military honors.
