Willa Mae Burnett, 89 of Forest Hill Road, Hinton died Thursday February 23, 2017 at her home following a long illness.

Born May 21, 1927 at Thayer, WV she was the daughter of the late William E. and Nelia Ann Johnson Richmond.

Mrs. Burnett was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her entire family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Burnett and three sons, Larry, James and Robert Burnett.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Sue Wolfe and husband Seldon, Jr. of Covington, VA, Connie Burnett of Hinton and Floretta Terry and husband Bruce of Chesapeake, OH. Six grandchildren including a special grandson, Scott Burnett, granddaughter, Rachel Terry whom she loved very dearly. Special daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Burnett. Nine great grandchildren and a special caregiver, Loretta Richmond also survive.

The family would like to thank Kathy McHenry from Hospice of Southern WV for her care and kindness during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 25, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
