William Earl "Bill" Deaver, 59 of Barger Springs, passed away Tuesday January 28, 2020 at Summers County A.R.H. following a long illness.

Born October 9, 1960 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Herman T. and Lottie B. Deaver.

Bill was a disabled lineman for Pike Electric Corporation. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Deaver and Paul Deaver; a nephew, Jason Deaver and a niece, Beth Deaver.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Vickie K. Buckland Deaver. Three daughters, Erica Lee Buckland of Georgia, Courtney Hall and husband Aaron of Wytheville, VA and Caitlin Deaver of Oregon; one sister, Kitty Bragg and husband Bill of Pence Springs; one of his greatest treasures in life was his grandson, Kennen Flowers. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Jearldine Buckland of Hinton; nieces, Kim Ritch and family of Virginia; nephew, Christopher Burdette and family of South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Carol Burdette and husband Jarrell of Virginia and Theresa Deaver of Lerona.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday February 1, 2020 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Tony Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery on Powley's Creek. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
