William Robert Richards, 74 of Charleston, died Friday October 26, 2018 at his home following a short illness.

Born February 23, 1944 in Hinton, he was the son of the late William Jefferson and Eloise A. Burton Richards.

Mr. Richards was a florist with Food Among the Flowers in Charleston, WV for many years. He had lived most of his life in Kanawha County and was active in the LGBT community.

Survivors include a son, Michael Richards and wife Denise. One grandson, Evan Richards. One sister, Ann Massie and husband Frank of Ronceverte, WV. Three nieces, Sherri Costa, Susan Wriston and Amanda Mazingo. One nephew, Jason Massie.

Honoring his wishes, cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 11, 2018 at The Broadway, 210 Sullivan Way, Charleston, WV.
