Leon Ray Pivont, Jr. was born October 26, 1947, in Hinton, to the late Leon Ray Sr. and Anna Ruth Vanscoy Pivont. Ray is a 1965 graduate of Hinton High School and attended Beckley College.
He graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, Kentucky. Ray is married to the former Donna Mock, and they have two children, Autumn Lea Pivont Paluch & her husband Ted of Raleigh, NC, and Leon Ray Pivont, III & wife Dena of Hinton. Ray & wife Donna have owned & operated the Hinton Floral & Gift, Inc. in Hinton for over 40 years. Ray & Donna have 7 grandchildren, Evan, Avery, Gavin & Sullivan Pivont all of Hinton and Payton, Landry & Quest Paluch all of Raleigh.
Ray has been active in many civic affairs in the community, serving as fire chief for the City of Hinton for 30 years. He is a member of the Hinton Lions Club and serves on the Unsafe Building Commission for the City of Hinton. Ray also serves on the board of the West Virginia State Water Festival. Ray & Donna attend First Baptist Church of Hinton.

Leon Ray Pivont, III was born June 28, 1971, in Beckley, to Leon Ray Pivont, Jr. and Donna Mock Pivont. Lee is a 1989 graduate of Hinton High School and a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Lee is also a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
Lee was formerly associated with Dering’s Funeral Home in Morgantown, WV, and McCulla Funeral Home in Westover, WV. Lee has been a director at Pivont Funeral Home since 1994. He is married to the former Dena Wykle and they are the proud parents of 4 daughters, Evan, Avery, Gavin & Sullivan. Lee is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hinton.

Coleman L. Leslie was born September 16, 1946 in Hinton to Beulah Hank Leslie of Hinton and the late James A. Leslie, Sr.
He was a 1964 graduate of Hinton High School and attended Beckley College. Coleman graduated from the Cincinnatti College of Mortuary Science in 1970. He was the former manager of Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley.
Coleman served as councilman for the City of Hinton for 18 years. He was the former owner of the Davis Department Store & Hub Clothing Company in Hinton.
Coleman is married to the former Rita Bennett and they attend Freedom Baptist Church on Powleys Creek near Hinton. Coleman has one daughter, Courtney Leslie of Snowshoe, West Virginia.
He is a partner in Southern Mortuary Service of Hinton and has been an associate of Pivont Funeral Home since 1987.

Floyd Canterbury is a native of Wyoming County, WV. He is a 1962 graduate of Glen Rogers High School and attended Beckley College, now West Virginia University Institute of Technology. He is a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1965-67. He was employed by the N&W Railway in Mullens, WV for over 10 years and retired as a truck driver in 2007.
He was a deacon at Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch for 26 years and served as choir director and song leader for approximately 35 years. He is married to Donna (Beckelhimer) Canterbury. They just celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary. They are the proud parents of one son, Jeffrey Floyd Canterbury and his wife, Rebecca (Wygal) Canterbury. Jeff is pastor of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo, WV.
Floyd and Donna have one awesome grandson, Nathaniel Hayden Canterbury. He will be a junior at Spring Valley High School in Huntington, WV in the fall.
Floyd enjoys singing and spending time with family and friends.
He has been a valued associate at Pivont Funeral Home since 2010.

James J. "Jim" Allen is a native Summers Countian and valued associate at Pivont Funeral Home. Jim is a 1968 graduate of Talcott High School and a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. After his military service, Jim was employed by Hicks Floral in Hinton. He also was employed by George Garten Ford in Hinton as a mechanic and service manager. Jim retired from the Summers County Board of Education with 31 years of service in transportation. Jim is married to the former Deloris Meadows and they reside on Willowood Road. Jim is a member of Clayton Baptist Church where he serves as choir leader. Jim and Deloris have 4 children, Denise Massey, Jeff Ballengee, Nedra Holland and Nathan Allen, along with 5 grandkids and 1 great grandchild. Jim is an avid outdoorsman and loves serving the people of Summers County in his role with Pivont Funeral Home. Jim is also our staff "fix it" man and we are proud to have him as part of our team.

Terri Meador has been a staff musician at Pivont Funeral Home for several years. Terri is a Summers County native and a daughter of the late Garland and Lorene Tyree. Terri retired from the A.R.H. Healthcare system in human resources, having worked for 30 years at both Summers County A.R.H. and Beckley A.R.H. Prior to that, she was also employed at the Summers County Courthouse and the former Parmer Law Office in Hinton. Terri has been married Gary Meador for 48 years and they have 2 sons, Chad and Todd Meador, and six grandchildren. She is a member of First Christian Church in Hinton and we are proud to have her talent as part of our team serving families.
